This year's theme is "Vibrance of Community".
Celebrate the creativity, culture, and community spirit of Sevier County through art. Artworks entered in the "Vibrance of Community" should capture the color, energy, and diversity of Sevier County’s people and cultures.

Judging will take place on April 30. All decisions will be made at the discretion of a qualified judge or panel of judges, who will be announced on the day of the show.
UA Cossatot, Fiesta Fest, the UAC Foundation, and Center for Student Success management are not responsible for any loss or damage, regardless of the cause. Artists who want insurance coverage for their work are encouraged to obtain it independently. Reasonable precautions will be taken, and the building will remain locked except during show hours, when attendants will be on duty.
All work submitted for competition must be the artist’s own original creation, conceived and completed by the artist within the past two years. Adaptations of another artist’s work, as well as classroom or workshop pieces where participants create from the same guided composition, will not be accepted. Artwork in all mediums, including painting, drawing, photography, mixed media, and textiles, is welcome.
Accepted Mediums: Informational Guide
We welcome artwork created in a wide variety of artistic mediums. Below is a brief overview to help artists determine where their work fits:
Painting:
Includes artwork created using traditional painting materials such as acrylic, oil, watercolor, gouache, ink, or other paint-based products. Mixed application techniques are acceptable as long as the work is the artist’s original creation.
Covers artworks made with dry or wet drawing media, including graphite, charcoal, colored pencil, pastels, markers, ink, and similar materials. Both monochromatic and full-color works are welcome.
Represents artwork that combines multiple artistic materials or techniques, such as collage, assemblage, paint combined with drawing materials, or layered textures using various substances. The primary requirement is that the final work is original and predominantly created by the artist.
Encompasses digital or film-based photographic works. Artists may submit edited, unedited, black-and-white, or color photographs. All images must be captured and creatively processed by the submitting artist.
The entry fee is $15.00 per artwork. Each artist may submit up to two entries. The maximum allowed size for all mediums except textiles and fiber arts is 16" × 20". Textiles and fiber art pieces do not have a size limit. Please ensure that all submitted works are completely dry and ready for display at the time of submission.
Includes fabric- or fiber-based artworks such as weaving, quilting, embroidery, felting, textile collage, or other fiber art techniques. Both functional and nonfunctional textile artworks are accepted, provided the work is original and artist‑made.
ART CHECK-IN
FRAMING AND HANGING
Artwork will be hung on Wednesday, April 29. Lewd or otherwise inappropriate works, at the discretion of event organizers, will not be accepted. All pieces must be properly framed and securely wired for hanging; sawtooth hangers are not permitted. Artwork that does not meet these requirements will not be accepted. If a hanging mechanism fails during the event, the piece will not be rehung.All artwork must be delivered to The BrickStone, located at 217 De Queen Avenue, De Queen, AR 71832, during one of the designated check-in times:Monday, April 27th

MOST CREATIVE INTERPRETATION
CERTIFICATE
Recognizes an artwork that presents an exceptionally imaginative, original, or unconventional approach to the chosen subject matter or concept.Both color and black‑and‑white photographs will be judged together in the same category. All photographic works must be framed and equipped with a secure wire hanger; sawtooth hangers are not allowed. Both amateur and professional photographers are welcome to exhibit; however, no advertising or promotional content may be included in any submission. Photography will be evaluated as an art form and judged using the same criteria applied to all other media.
